But for most Australians this can have the opposite effect.
A 2015 study of 1,500 hikers in Queensland’s Sunshine Coast found that the average age of outdoor adventurers was 46.4 years old – the oldest in the study was 70. The average person aged 18 years old was 43.2natyasastra.com years old.
The peak of human endurance is not the same in each of Australia’s 42 states, and people often underestimate the amount of time they are actually doing.
In the winter months, the coldest time of the year is often the least productive, and Australians are usually only spending a few hours in the field in the winter.
For these reasons and many others, the traditional Australian lifestyle of camping and hiking is usually the last place people look for a long stay.
This, combined with the fact that Australians usually get in around 60 minutes to a few hours of sleep during the day, has led to a dramatic increase in Australians taking short breaks.
We’ve seen Australians take a year or more off work to make the trip to Europe
It’s this trend that researchers like Chris Breen at the University of Sydney found last month, when he surveyed 7,500 backpackers in northern NSW. The most popular options were the three week trips to the Gold Coast and the Sunshine Coast to hike or hitchhike, or four-week long trips across the continent to undertake trekking.
«We’re doing it because we can, but we have to understand it’s not sustainable,» Breen said.
«We’ve seen Australians take a year or more off work to make the trip to Europe, and we’ve seen Australians taking three to five weeks off in a row to go and hike in Australia – just because they can, that’s a huge waste of time and resources.»
But with many of the same reasons why Americans and Australians may end up spending the most time out in nature, Breen suspects this is part of a similar evolutionary trend.
«The same evolutionary advantage of long trips to the north can translate to doing short trips all across the world, all day. We’ve become more더킹카지노 adaptable and we have more resources and that means we can go out all over the world more frequently. We’re just not as willing to do so because of health issues,» he said.
Breen thinks the reason Australians are spendin우리카지노g so much time out in nature is partly because there’s so little of that outdoors in the firs
